First off, I would like to comment that the fabric used is super high quality. The stitching is superb. The design is flattering. However, no consideration was given for my measurements.
I was told by the owner of the shop that the pants were intentionally made too small in order to fit me better. This clearly was not the case. I tried my best to squeeze into them, but after sitting for even 20 minutes they would dig into my gut and cause me pain. I had messaged the shop previously on Etsy and was told the pants would not dig in and would move with me. They did dig in and they did not move with me. While the waistband is the reason I cannot wear these pants, even the butt area was very stiff. Sitting down was a bit of a challenge.
I attempted to take these to the tailor. Unfortunately, he couldn't fix them--and didn't notify me until after the short 7-day window closed. It seems coquetry leaves no room for modifications with their stitches. This isn't a bad practice, except for when pants are made incorrectly. I tried to wear the pants again today and was once again in pain. After changing into pants from JCPenney that weren't custom fit, I was so relieved. JCPenney's stretch flare pants cause no pain and allow me to move. I can't believe these mass-produced pants fit me better than custom made pants.
I worked over 17 hours to afford pants that don't fit. I trusted the shop and they failed me. At least bigger pants could be pinned up. But these are so small, there's nothing left to do but donate them. It's crushing to me because I'm just a working class person and this was a huge investment. I have nothing to show for it but a massive loss.
If anyone else orders these pants--make sure you DO NOT give them your real measurements!! Go at least 1.5 inches greater to receive a
good fit.
In summary: Great, talented shop. Little consideration for how clothes will actually fit.
